Travis Legg, a 44-year-old resident of Woodruff, South Carolina, has been sentenced to 126 months in federal prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking conspiracy. Legg pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine and over 40 grams of fentanyl.

According to evidence presented in court, authorities began investigating the case in 2023 as part of a joint effort between federal and local agencies. The investigation found that Legg was involved in a Spartanburg-based operation distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine. He was indicted and arrested on federal charges in June 2024, at which time he was found with additional quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana.

United States District Judge Donald C. Coggins ordered that Legg serve a five-year term of supervised release following his prison sentence.

The prosecution is part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) program, which targets high-level drug traffickers and criminal organizations through coordinated efforts among various law enforcement agencies. More information about OCDETF can be found at https://www.justice.gov/OCDETF.

Multiple agencies contributed to the investigation, including Homeland Security Investigations Border Enforcement Security Task Force, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, several county sheriff’s offices, police departments from Greenville County and city jurisdictions, the South Carolina Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General, and Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jamie Schoen prosecuted the case.
