The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina has announced changes to its operations due to severe weather expected over the upcoming weekend. The Greenville court location will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Meanwhile, the Charleston and Columbia court locations are set to open later than usual, with doors opening at 10:00 a.m. Employees will continue their work remotely during regular business hours and can be reached by phone or email.
The court has also confirmed that its Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system will remain accessible for electronic filing and research purposes. In addition, self-represented individuals can continue to use Electronic Self-Representation (eSR) and the Electronic Document Submission System (EDSS) for filing documents.
