A Pickens County man has been arrested on charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors, according to South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson. Brandon David Lee King, 29, of Easley, was taken into custody by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. The Attorney General’s Office and Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, also members of the state’s ICAC Task Force, assisted in the investigation.
The arrest followed a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which identified King as a suspect. Investigators allege that King distributed files containing child sexual abuse material.
King was arrested on October 2, 2025. He faces four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree (§16-15-405). Each count is a felony and carries a possible sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case.
Attorney General Wilson stated: “All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.”
The press release notes that child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is considered a more accurate term than “child pornography,” as it avoids implying consent by minors and reflects global efforts to use language that describes these crimes more precisely.
