A man from Prosperity, South Carolina, has been arrested on charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors. Dallas Randolph Williams, 43, was taken into custody on September 10, 2025. The arrest followed an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force within the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office also participated in the investigation.
The case began after investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). According to investigators, Williams is accused of manufacturing, distributing, and possessing files containing child sexual abuse material.
Williams faces six charges: one count of sexual exploitation of a minor in the first degree, two counts in the second degree, and three counts in the third degree. These felony offenses carry potential prison sentences ranging from up to 10 years for each second- and third-degree count to up to 20 years for the first-degree charge.
The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute this case.
Attorney General Alan Wilson stated: “All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.”
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is now used as a more precise term than “child pornography” because it reflects that children cannot consent to such acts. The terminology change aims to clarify that these crimes involve abuse rather than any form of participation.
