Christopher William Stevens, 35, from Lancaster, South Carolina, has been sentenced to over 11 years in federal prison for his involvement in a drug conspiracy. Stevens was convicted of conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute at least 50 grams of methamphetamine and a quantity of fentanyl.
The investigation by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations found that Stevens and others were distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl in the region. Authorities conducted several traffic stops in 2021 and 2022 involving Stevens as either driver or passenger. During these stops, law enforcement found controlled substances such as suboxone, gabapentin, marijuana, heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. Officers also recovered digital scales, glass pipes, and firearms. In addition to these findings, police made two controlled purchases of fentanyl from Stevens in 2021.
United States District Judge Mary Geiger Lewis handed down a sentence of 135 months in prison for Stevens. After serving his sentence, he will be subject to four years of court-ordered supervision. There is no possibility of parole under the federal system.
