Brandon Michael Davis, 35, of Taylors, South Carolina, has been arrested on three charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors. The arrest was made by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, which is also part of the state’s ICAC Task Force, assisted in the investigation.
The investigation began after a CyberTipline report was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). According to investigators, Davis distributed files containing child sexual abuse material.
Davis was taken into custody on September 18, 2025. He faces three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree (§16-15-405), which is a felony offense carrying a potential sentence of up to 10 years imprisonment for each count.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General Alan Wilson stated: “All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.”
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is now used as a more accurate term for this type of crime because it reflects the abusive nature involved. The term “pornography” can imply consent by participants, which is not applicable in these cases. As a result, CSAM is replacing older terminology worldwide.
