The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina has announced that it will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of Washington’s Birthday. Despite the closure, the court’s Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system will remain accessible for electronic filing and research. Additionally, Electronic Self-Representation (eSR) and the Electronic Document Submission System (EDSS) will continue to be available for individuals filing without legal representation.

The court also plans to introduce a new feature in its CM/ECF system starting February 13, 2026. The update will add hearing presets to help users with self-scheduling matters electronically. A participant’s guide is provided by the court to explain how to use these new hearing presets.
